Business Mission

Women’s Arc Physiotherapy- expert care for women through the full arc of their journey. We provide services that honors your unique journey, whether you’re healing from injury, navigating a time of transition (adolescence, matrescence, menopause), or seeking to safely reclaim your strength.

What inspired you to start your business?

The inspiration behind Women’s Arc Physiotherapy comes from founder Valerie’s desire to create the kind of physical therapy clinic she herself needed but could not find. From mismanaged injuries as a young athlete to medical gaslighting as a new mom, Valerie has experienced firsthand how the healthcare system often fails women – especially when they need it most. These lived experiences have shaped her professional passion. As a competitive figure skater, overuse injuries caused lasting pain and ultimately shifted the trajectory of her career. She went on to lead original research on injury prevention in figure skaters. When she entered motherhood, even with a decade of advanced training, Valerie felt completely unprepared for the realities of postpartum recovery. Her journey through overcoming perineal tearing complications, birth trauma, miscarriages, postpartum depletion, and an autoimmune diagnosis gave her the wisdom that now fuels her practice. Through advanced training in pelvic floor therapy alongside her background in orthopedic care, Valerie offers women an integrative approach to healing – one that addresses the whole person and honors the full arc of a woman’s journey.

What brings you joy?

Personally, my greatest joy in life are my children. Playing with them, being outside with them, exploring the world together. Taking time to step away from my career when my children were newborns was really what gave me the perspective and inspiration to build something of my own: on my own terms and schedule yes, but also to practice the way I really thought it should be done. I know that the growth I experienced during that transition time is what has set me on this path I am currently on.
